Acrylic painting A Distant Cousin and My Father, 1950. by Bernard Scanlan

A Distant Cousin and My Father, 1950.

This painting is based on a photograph taken in 1950, in or around Pittsburgh. This person is one of the Crowley's, who would be a distant cousin to me. The missing part of the photo is where my father would have been standing. Like all family photos before 1960, my dad was clipped out, after he and Mom divorced.
48 x 24 gallery canvas. Acrylic.
