Acrylic painting My Mother and my Father's Shoulder at Mercer's, 1945 by Bernard Scanlan

My Mother and my Father's Shoulder at Mercer's, 1945

This painting is from a photograph taken in 1945. My mom was 25 at that time and they had been married five years already. My dad's shoulder, just to the left of my mother, is the only picture I have of him until some pics I took in 80s, after I found him. My mother and step-father cut my father out of all family photos, after my father left us.
18 x 24 gallery canvas. Acrylic.
